Allessio Says Stay Is Unnecessary, Layoffs Are Not Immanent

In a letter to Attorney General Blumenthal, CEO Robert Allessio stated that a stay of the layoffs is not necessary because effects bargaining with the Union has yet to take place and the layoff plans have not been finalized. However, Mr. Allessio indicates that the layoffs (euphamistically called "a workforce reduction") will take place following the DPUC investigation (Docket 09-09-08) "within a workable time frame."
